Ahsoka Tano And Moff Gideon To Have A Lightsaber Duel Over The Darksaber

It’s being rumoured that Ahsoka Tano and Moff Gideon will have a lightsaber duel over ownership of The Darksaber in The Mandalorian Season 2. This was revealed by Geekosity’s Mikey Sutton, and it sounds like it’s going to be an epic fight.

According to Sutton’s report, Ahsoka Tano will be fighting Moff Gideon in order to get The Darksaber back for the Mandalorians. It’s unclear how Moff Gideon ended up with the Darksaber in the first place.

It’s been rumoured that The Mandalorian Season 2 will feature Bo-Katan who was the last person to be seen with the Darksaber. Perhaps she’ll reveal what happened in order for the Mandalorian weapon ended up in his hands.

THE MANDALORIAN SEASON 2 COULD FEATURE AN EPIC LIGHTSABER DUEL BETWEEN AHSOKA TANO AND MOFF GIDEON

Here’s what Mikey Sutton wrote in his report on this upcoming lightsaber duel between Ahsoka and Moff Gideon:

According to my inside sources, Lucasfilm is planning a fiery showdown between Tano and Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) over the ownership of The Darksaber. This will be among The Mandalorian’s biggest action sequences, something to rival or even top some of Star Wars’ theatrical lightsaber duels.

As far as I’m concerned, I love the idea of seeing Ahsoka and Moff Gideon battle it out. However, I would question whether Moff Gideon would have any change of beating Ahsoka. She’s a trained Jedi Knight and is very skilled with a lightsaber. Maybe Moff Gideon has been brushing up on his own skills with a blade?

First introduced in the 2008 animated film “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” Ahsoka’s attitude toward being a Jedi is complicated. (“The Clone Wars” film and TV show bridge the gap between the events of “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” and “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.”)

Ahsoka was assigned to Anakin Skywalker as his padawan apprentice by Master Yoda, who thought it would be a good learning experience for the Jedi knight with attachment issues. Although Anakin initially objected to having an apprentice, Ahsoka won him over after she saved his life during their first battle together.

Like Anakin, Ahsoka didn’t follow the rules. She was also stubborn, clever, a little reckless and plenty capable. She spent much of the Clone Wars fighting alongside Anakin, Obi-Wan Kenobi and legions of Republic clone troopers, learning and growing along the way.

Everything changed when Ahsoka was framed in the bombing of the Jedi Temple. The Jedi Council stripped her of her padawan status and kicked her out of the Order. But Anakin believed in her innocence and worked to uncover the truth, which led to Ahsoka’s acquittal.

Ahsoka was given the option of returning to the Jedi Order, but she chose to walk away.
