Identify the corona in shrimp, China bans imports

China has banned food imports from three Ecuadorian companies after coronavirus was detected in a packet of frozen shrimp. This was reported in a report by the French news agency AFP on Friday.

A few days ago, after the coronavirus was detected in the refrigerated food items in the capital Beijing, China started extensive food experiments.

At a news conference on Friday, Bai Kexin, an official with China’s General Administration of Customs, said coronavirus was detected in samples of packets of whiteleg shrimp collected from Dalian and Xiamen ports. However, the sample inside the packet and the shrimp test had negative reports.

Chinese customs authorities say food imports from three Ecuadorian companies have been temporarily banned after being tested positive for coronavirus.

Coronavirus transmission began in December last year from a seafood market in Wuhan, China. Since then, the virus has spread to more than two hundred countries around the world. 1 crore 24 lakh 42 thousand 38 people have been affected and 5 lakh 56 thousand 544 people have died in this world.
